Your RTV silicone mold is a block of very flexible and very defined rubber.
The mold will withstand hundreds of pourings and can cast wax, soap, plaster and resin with temperatures up to 300 degrees.
Caring for the molds if very easy, just rinse in warm water after using, air dry and store flat. Ziploc bags are a great way to store them.
If you cast resin, be sure to rinse very quickly after demolding. Your mold may begin to deteriorate if resin is used repeatedly and the resin remains in contact with the silicone over long periods of time. Just rinse, and you won't damage the mold.
Soap, wax, plaster, resin - all pop right out of this remarkable mold with very little effort, but with incredibly intricate detail.
Your freinds and customers will love your creations.
See our "How'd We Do That?" page for some ideas on how to achieve some different colors and looks.
Enjoy your molds - the combinations of colors and styles are limited only by your imagination!
